Cauliflower Poriyal

Serving: 3 |Type: Chettinad  Veg-Poriyal


Cauliflower(cut) -400grams
Onion(diced) -¼cup
Tomato(diced) -1
Chili Powder -1tsp
Turmeric Powder -¼tsp
Salt -to taste
Coriander Leaves -few



Oil -2tbsp
Mustard -½tsp
Urad dhal -½tsp
Sombu -¼tsp
Cumin -¼tsp
Fenugreek -¼tsp
Curry leaves -few


  1. Take a pan heat with oil add seasonings fry without burning.
  2. Add onion sauté for 1 minute then add tomato , pinch of salt and turmeric sauté until tomato get mash.
  3. Now add chili powder,  cauliflower and remaining salt sauté well until cauliflower get soft.
  4. Make sure it won’t get mushy, cauliflower should be cook and crunchy.
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  6. Serve with rice or roti.
