Chow Chow Subji(Chayote Squash Curry For chappati)

Serving: 4 | Type: Veg-Side Dish


Chow Chow(Diced) -2 to 3cups
Onion(Diced) -1cup
Tomato(Diced) -1cup
Green Chili(slit) -2
Chili Powder -1 to 2tsp
Turmeric -¼tsp
Salt -to taste
Water -1cup
Coriander Leaves -few



Oil -2tbsp
Mustard -1tsp
Cumin -1tsp
Red chili -2
Curry Leaves -few



  1. Take a pan heat with oil add seasonings fry without burning, add onion, green chili sauté for minute or 2 then add tomato, salt and turmeric sauté for 2 minutes.
  2. Now add Chow Chow sauté for 5 minutes on medium flame, then add chili powder mix well.
  3.  Add 1 cup of water then cover with lid cook it until veg table get soft,  and add coriander leaves , then turn off the stove.
  4. Serve with chappati.
