Easy, Ready Made Flan

Serving: 5 | Type:Dessert: Frozen Treats

Ingredients:


Flan Mix -1 box
Milk -2 cups

Method:


  1. Empty the content of the flan mix in a bowl.
  2. To this mix add 1 cup of cold milk and whisk it together, making sure there are no lumps.
  3. Meanwhile, in the microwave heat the remaining 1 cup of milk until it is boiling hot (about 1 ½ – 2 minutes).
  4. Then pour the hot milk into a saucepan and heat it in medium flame.
  5. Then slowly pour the cold mixture into the saucepan and bring it up to a boil.
  6. While you are waiting for the mixture to boil, drizzle the caramel sauce into a glass bowl, 5 equal portions.
  7. The mixture does not need to thicken, as soon as it comes up to a boil, turn off the heat.
  8.  Then pour the mixture into 5 equal portions into the caramel drizzled bowls.
  9. Cover the bowls with plastic wrap and place it in the fridge for 6 hours to overnight.
  10. When it is ready to serve, you need to turn the flan upside down into a plate.
  11. Now it is ready to be served as a cool dessert.  Enjoy!

Note:

To turn the flan upside down:

–          Remove the plastic wrap on the top.

–          Slid a knife smoothly around the edge.

–          Then, place a dessert plate on the top of the bowl.

–          Next, place one hand over the plate and flip the bowl, so now the bowl is on the top.

–          The flan should just fall on to the plate.

–          If it doesn’t, jiggle it gently, the flan should just slide onto the plate.
