Meen Puttu (Shredded Fish Masala)

Ingredients:

Fish Boneless -1 cup(200grams)
Onion -1/2 cup (diced)
Green chili -2 (chopped)
Ginger -1 inch (chopped)
Turmeric -1/4tsp
Chili Powder -1/4tsp
Salt -to taste
Lemon Juice -1tsp
Coriander -2tsp
Garlic -2 (chopped)

Seasoning:

Oil -2tbsp
Mustard -1tsp
Cumin -1/2tsp
Red Chili -1
Curry leaves -few

 

Method:

  1. Boil the fish in water for 5 minutes, drain it and let  cool the fish, then crumble the fish and keep it aside.
  2. Take the heavy bottom pan heat with oil.
  3. Add seasonings fry for 1 minute.
  4. Now add onion, green chili, ginger, garlic sauté for 2 minutes on medium flame.
  5. Then add turmeric, chili powder, salt  and sauté well for about 2 minutes.
  6. Now add crumbled fish fry for about 3 minutes.
  7. Then add lemon juice and coriander leaves mix well keep it on the stove for about 1 minute on the stove and then turn off the stove.
  8. Serve with white rice.

Note:

  1. You can add 1 chopped tomato after sautéing the onion for extra flavor.
  2. You can use cat fish, salmon, tilapia, or any other fish fillet if you preference.
  3. If you want more spicy you can add chili powder or green chili.
