Ingredients:
| Aattukkal Cut | -400 grams |
| Thoor dhal(optional) | -¼ cup |
| Onion Diced | -1 cup |
| Garlic Diced | -3 |
| Tomato Diced | -1 cup |
| Green chili | -2 |
| Chili Powder | -1 ½tbsp |
| Coriander Powder | -3tbsp |
| Turmeric | -¼tsp |
| Coriander Leaves | -2tbsp |
| Salt | -to taste |
| Lemon Juice | -1tbsp |
Seasonings:
| Oil | -1tbsp |
| Cumin | -½tsp |
| Red Chili | -2 |
| Sombu(fennel seeds) | -½tsp |
| Kal Pasi(Black stone flower) | -1 |
| Star Anise | -1 |
| Cinnamon | -1 inch |
| Curry Leaves | -few |
Method:
- Pressure cook all the ingredients except for salt and lemon juice, for 3whistle and then simmer for 15 minutes and turn off the stove.
- Cool down the cooker then open it boil for 5 minutes with salt.
- Take another pan heat with oil add seasonings fry without burning now add it into the kuzhambu.
- Before serving add 1tbsp of lemon juice.
- Serve hot with white rice.
Note:
- This gravy can be made in a crock pot (slow cooker), Place all the ingredients in the crock pot with water on high heat and let if cook for approximately 8 hours or until the meat is fall of the bone soft and then fry the seasoning and add it on top of the gravy.
- While frying the seasonings you can add ½ diced onion and 1 diced tomato sauté well add it with kuzhambu.
