Ingredients:
| Pappalikkai greated | -1 cup |
| Thoor dhal | -¼ cup |
| Onion | -¼ cup |
| Green Chili | -2 (slit) |
| Salt | -to taste |
Seasoning:
| Oil | -1tsp |
| Mustard | -½tsp |
| Urad dhal | -½tsp |
| Red chili | -1 |
| Curry leaves | -few |
| Asafotida | -pinch |
Method:
- Pressure cook the dhal for half way done, not overcook and keep it aside.
- Take a pan heat with oil add seasoning fry without burning.
- Add onion and green chili sauté for a minute with salt.
- Now add grated papaya sauté for 3 minutes then add cooked dhal.
- Now ready to serve with rice.
Note:
- If you want you can add 2tbsp grated coconut.
- Instead of greated papaya you can use diced papaya and do this Thovandal.
