Serving: 6 to 8 People: Type: Veg Kuzhambu
Ingredients:
For grinding:
| Oil | -1tsp |
| Black Pepper(Milagu) | -2tsp |
| Channa Dhal | -2tsp |
| Urad Dhal | -2tsp |
| Coriander seeds(Dhaniya seeds) | -2tsp |
| Asafotida | -½tsp |
| Curry Leaves | -20 leaves |
| Red Chili | -4 to 6 |
Ingredients:
| Tamarind | -1big lemon size |
| Salt | -to taste |
| Jaggery (or ) Brown sugar | -1tsp |
| Sesame Oil | -6 to 8tbsp |
| Mustard | -1tsp |
| Asafotida | -pinch |
| Curry leaves | -1 stalk |
Method:
- Take a pan heat with oil add all ingredients one by one fry it without burn on low flame and grind with little water and keep it aside.
- Soak the tamarind with 2 cups of water and squeeze out the pulp and keep it aside.
- Take pan heat with oil add seasonings lets crackle the mustard then add asafotida and curry leaves mix it.
- Now add ground masala.
- Mix it well and add tamarind and salt.
- Boil it until it gets thicken and oil comes on top, then add Jaggery and mix it well.
- Serve with hot white rice with ghee or sesame oil.
