Ingredients:
| Potato | -1 (small) |
| Onion(Diced) | -½ cup |
| Tomato(Diced) | -1 |
| Turmeric | -pinch |
| Salt | -to taste |
| Coriander | -few |
For Grinding:
| Grated Coconut | -3 tbsp |
| Red Chili Powder | -1 ½ tsp |
| Sombu | -1tsp |
| Pottu Kadalai | -2 tbsp |
Seasoning:
| Oil | -2 tbsp |
| Mustard | -1 tsp |
| Urad Dhal | -½ tsp |
| Sombu | -½ tsp |
| Cumin | -½ tsp |
| Fenugreek | -¼ tsp |
| Red chili | -1 |
| Curry Leaves | -few |
Method:
- Cut Vegetables
- Sauteed Onion
- Sauteed Onion and tomato
- Ground Paste
- Ground paste and water added
- Ready for serving
- Dice the potato and place it into the water and keep it aside.
- Grind the above ingredients for coconut masala with water and keep it aside.
- Heat a heavy bottom pan with oil, add seasonings and fry it.
- Next add the onion sauté for 1 minute, then add the tomato, a pinch of salt and turmeric, until the tomato gets mashed.
- Now add the potato, sauté for 4 to 5 minutes, then add chili powder and mix well.
- Now add 2 cups of water, cook until all vegetable get soft.
- Then add ground paste, boil it for 3 minute and then turn off stove.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve with idly or dosa.
