Ingredients:
| Masoor Dhal | -¾ cup |
| Whole Mung Dhal | -2tbsp |
| Turmeric | -½tsp |
| Green chili | -3 |
| Ginger | -1inch |
| Salt | -to taste |
| Coriander Leaves | -few |
Seasoning:
| Ghee | -1tbsp |
| Mustard | -1tsp |
| Cumin | -1tsp |
| Asafotida | -pinch |
| Curry Leaves | -few |
Method:
- Pressure cook both dhal together in the cooker for 15 minutes and keep it aside.
- Pound the ginger and chili together and keep it aside.
- Take a pan heat with ghee add mustard let it crackle.
- Then add cumin, curry leaves and asafetida fry for a second.
- Now add green chili ginger mixer sauté for a second.
- Then add cooked dhal and turmeric mix well.
- Now add 1or 2 cups of water and salt.
- Let it boil for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Now add coriander leaves and turn off the stove.
- Now ready to serve with roti, Naan or jeera rice.
Note:
- Masoor Dhal is known as orange Lentils.
- Whole Mung Dhal is known as Whole Green Gram Dhal.
