Ingredients:
| Baby Potato | -20 or 25 |
| Onion(Chopped) | -½ cup |
| Tomato(chopped) | -1 |
| Garlic(Chopped) | -2 |
| Chili Powder | -1tbsp |
| Turmeric | -¼tsp |
| Coriander Leaves | -few |
Seasoning:
| Oil | -3tbsp |
| Mustard | -1tsp |
| Urad Dhal | -1tsp |
| Sombu | -½tsp |
| Cumin | -½tsp |
| Fenugreek | -¼tsp |
| Curry Leaves | -few |
Method:
- Boil the potato with salt and peel the skin and keep it aside.
- If it is to big you can cut it into half otherwise leave it like whole.
- Take a pan heat with oil add seasonings fry without burning.
- Add onion and garlic sauté for 1 or 2 minute then add tomato, turmeric and salt sauté well until tomato gets mashed.
- Then add chili powder cook for 1 minute the add boiled potato fry for 5 to 6 minutes until all spice will get inside then turn off the stove.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve with rice or roti.
Note:
- After peel the skin you can poke the potato with sharp needle, it helps all the masala will get inside.
- You can make this poriyal without peel the skin.
