9 Grain Hot Cereal Upma

Ingredients:

9 grain hot cereal name

9 grain cereal -2 cups
Oil -2tbsp
Ghee -1tbsp
Mustard -1tsp
Urad Dhal -1tsp
Channa Dhal -1tbsp
Green Chili -4
Onion(Chopped) -1
Curry Leaves -few
Coriander Leaves -few
Asafotida -¼tsp
Salt -to taste
Water -3cups

 9Grain Hot cereal

Method:

  1. Take a heavy bottom pan heat with oil and ghee add seasonings fry without burning.
  2. Then add onion and green chili sauté for a minute and add cereal fry for 2 to 3 minutes until it get toasted on medium flame.
  3. Now add water, salt and coriander leaves mix well and let it boil.
  4. Cover with lid.
  5. After bubble comes keep it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  6. Then turn off the stove.
  7. Serve with any chutney.

Note:

  1. 9 grain cereal, you can get it from health food store.
  2. It contains: Red wheat, White Wheat, Barley, Oats, Corn Meal, Millet, Buck Wheat, Flaxseeds and Rye.
