Ingredients:

Milk -5 cups
Sweet Potato -2 cups(Grated)
Sugar -5 tbsp
Saffron -Few string
Edible camphor -Pinch
Cardamom Powder -1/4 tsp (optional)
Sara paruppu(charoli Seeds) -1 tbsp
Method:
1. Wash and peel the skin for sweet potato, grate it and place it in water (so that it doesn’t darken).
2. Take a heavy bottom pan, add milk and let it boil for 10 minutes.
3. Take 2 tbsp of milk, add saffron and dissolve it, and keep it aside.
4. Take the grated sweet potato, wash well so that the starch is washed out.
5. Now add the grated sweet potato to the boiling milk.
6. Let it cook for 8 to 10 minutes until soft.
7. Now add sugar, mix it well and let it boil for 4 to 5 minutes.
8. Now add saffron milk into the mixture and mix well.
9. Add cardamom powder and edible camphor.
10. Mix it well and turn off the stove.
11. Garnish with Saraparuppu.
12. Serve it hot or cold.
Note:
1. Instead of sugar you can add Jaggery or Brown Sugar.
2. You can adjust the sugar level more or less.
