Ingredients:
Cauliflower(pieces) | -15 to 20 flowerets |
Onion(diced) | -¼ cup |
Tomato(diced) | -1 |
Green chili | -4 to 6 |
Thoor Dhal (cooked) | -¼ cup(mashed) |
Turmeric | -¼tsp |
Salt | -to taste |
Water | -3 to 4 cups |
Milk | -¼ cup |
Coriander Leaves | -few |
Seasoning:
Ghee | -1tsp |
Sombu | -½tsp |
Cumin | -¼tsp |
Whole Pepper | -½tsp |
Kal pasi | -1 |
Red Chili | -1 |
Bay leaves | -1 |
Curry leaves | -few |
Method:
- Place all the ingredients in a pot except for milk.
- Cook until all vegetable get soft.
- Take a pan heat with ghee add seasonings fry without burning.
- Add it to the soup.
- Before serving add the milk for some creaminess and serve it hot.
Note:
- Instead of thoor dhal you can use cooked and mashed Pasi paruppu.
- This soup is chettinad special.
