Ingredients:
Onion | -1 big |
Tomato | -2 big |
Salt | -to taste |
Chilli Powder | -½ tsp (Optional) |
Water | -½ cup |
Seasoning:
Oil | -4 tbsp |
Mustard | -1 tsp |
Urad Dhal | -½ tsp |
Garlic (chopped) | -2 cloves |
Red Chili | -1 |
Curry Leaves | -few |
Method:
- Take the pan and heat with oil, add mustard, urad dhal, curry leaves and red chili and fry it without burning it.
- Finely dice onion, garlic and tomato.
- Add onion and garlic and sauté well for 1 minute.
- Next add the tomatoes and salt and sauté well until tomato gets soft.
- Pour the water and allow it to boil down.
- The consistency should be semi-liquid.
- Turn off the stove.
- Serve with idly, dosa or vellai paniyaram.
