Ingredients:
Mongai Inji(chopped) | -¼ cup |
Mint | -1 cup |
Red Chili | -6 to 8 |
Mustard | -1tsp |
Urad Dhal | -3tbsp |
Asafotida | -¼tsp |
Tamarind | -small Marble size |
Salt | -to taste |
Oil | -1tsp |
Method:
- Take a pan heat with oil add mustard let it crack, now add urad dhal and chili fry until golden.
- Then add asafotida fry for the second and take out all the fried ingredients and keep it aside.
- Then add mangai inji fry for 2 to 3 minutes then add mint leaves fry it for 1 to 2 minute .
- Now add grated coconut and turn off the stove (you donot need to fry the coconut).
- Now add tamarind and salt, then grind everything together with little water.
- Don’t grind very smooth paste.
- Chutney should be coarse.
- Serve with rice or any other tiffin variety.
Note:
1. In the USA mango ginger is called white turmeric.
