Quinoa Oats Pakkoda with Spinach and carrot

 

Serving: 6 to 8 people | Type: Snack

Ingredients:

Quinoa -1cup
Oats -½ cup
Mixed Dhal -1 cup
Shredded Carrot -1cup
Chopped Spinach -1cup
Onion (chopped) -½ cup
Green chili(chopped) -1
Sombu, Cumin -1tsp
Red Chili -3 to 5
Asafotida -¼tsp
Salt -to taste
Coriander leaves -few
Curry leaves -few
Oil -For frying

Method:

  1. Mixed Dhal – Thoor dhal (1/4  cup), Channa Dhal (1/2 cup),  Urad dhal (1/4 cup).
  2. Soak the dhal and quinoa separately for 4 to 5 hours .
  3. First, grind  quinoa with sombu, cumin, red chili, salt and asafetida into a smooth paste.
  4. Then add the soaked mixed dhal, grind coarsely.
  5. Now add Oats,  Spinach, carrot, onion, green chili, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
  6. Mix well and check the salt and spiciness.
  7. Heat the pan with oil then take a small spoon full of batter and drop it in to the oil and cook it until golden brown.
  8. Cook it on medium flame.
  9. Serve it like a snack.
