Serving: 2 Type: Veg-Rice
Ingredients:
Basmati Rice | -1 ½ cup |
Onion(chopped) | -1 |
Tomato(chopped) | -3 |
Green Chili(slit) | -4 |
Ginger Garlic Paste | -1tsp |
Chili Powder | -1tsp |
Turmeric | -¼tsp |
Salt | -to taste |
Water | -3 to 3 ½ cups |
Coriander Leaves | -2tbsp |
Seasoning:
Ghee and Oil | -3tbsp |
Sombu | -½tsp |
Cloves | -2 |
Cinnamon | -1 inch |
Method:
- Soak the rice for 10 to 15 minutes and drain the water keep it aside.
- Take the heavy bottom vessel heat with oil and ghee add seasoning fry without burning.
- Now add onion and ginger garlic paste sauté for 1 minute then add green chili ,tomato, salt and turmeric sauté well until tomato get mash.
- Now add soaked rice sauté for 2 minutes then add water, chili powder and coriander leaves mix well cover with lid until it boil well on high flame then stir it check the salt again cover with lid keep it on low flame for 15 minutes then turn off the stove.(Don’t stir in between)
- Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes then open it and stir it .
- Garnish with coriander leaves .
- Serve it hot with raitha or kurma.
Note:
- If you want you can add garam masala while cooking.
