Ingredients:
Chow Chow | -1 cup |
Onion(cut ) | -½ cup |
Tamarind | -small lemon size |
Chili Powder | -1tbsp |
Coriander Powder | -1tbsp |
Green Chili | -1 |
Salt | -to taste |
Seasoning:
Sesame oil | -3tbsp |
Mustard seeds | -½tsp |
Red Chili | -1 |
Curry Leaves | -few |
Coriander Leaves | -1tbsp |
Asafotida | -¼tsp |
Roast and Grind:
Ellu(sesame Seeds) | -2tbsp(white) |
Raw Rice | -1tbsp |
Onion | -½ cup |
Method:
- Take a vessel heat with oil add seasonings fry without burning.
- Add onion sauté well then add vegetable sauté for 3minutes
- Now add chili powder, coriander powder and salt mix well.
- Meanwhile soak the tamarind with ½ a cup of water and take out the extract.
- Then add tamarind extract and 2 cups of water boil until vegetable get soft.
- Meanwhile take a pan dry roast the raw rice and keep it aside.
- Then dry roast ellu (sesame seeds) and keep that aside too.
- Next add little bit of oil fry onion until onion gets transparent and keep that aside too.
- Finally grind all the three ingredients together into a smooth paste.
- Now add ground paste boil it for 3 minutes on medium flame.
- Turn off the stove.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with rice.

- You can add any vegetable as you like.
