Ingredients:
Liver | -100 grms |
Kidney | -1 piece |
Onion Chopped | -1/2 cup |
Tomato Diced | -1/2 cup |
Green Chili | -2 |
Turmeric | -1/4 tsp |
Water | -3 cups |
Thur Dhal Cooked | -2 tbsp (optional) |
Salt | -to taste |
Coriander Leaves | -2tbsp |
Seasoning:
Oil | -1tbsp |
Ani seed(Sombu) | -1/2tsp |
Cumin | 1/tsp |
Pepper Whole | ½ tsp |
Clove | -2 |
Black Stone Flower(Kal Pasi) | -small |
Curry Leaves | -few |
Method:
- Cut liver and kidney into small pieces, wash and keep it aside.
- Heat the frying pan with oil, add all seasonings fry without burning.
- Add onion, green chili and tomato sauté about 1 minute in medium heat.
- Take ¾ of the sauté and grind smoothly and keep it aside. (By grinding, kids will not be able to pick out the tomatoes, onion and green chilli and it gives thickness to the soup)
- Add the liver and kidney to the ¼ of the sauté that is left over in the pan and cook for about 1 minute in medium flame. Then add water, salt and turmeric powder.
- Now add cooked dhal , coriander leaves and ground paste. Mix it well.
- Transfer into the pressure cooker and cook until 2 whistle comes then keep it on low heat about 5 minutes. Now turn off the stove.
- Serve it hot.
Note:
- You can eat with white rice, idly, dosa or just by itself as soup.
- If you want it to be more spicy add pepper powder.
