Mini Aappam With Coconut Milk (Chettinad Aappam)

Ingredients:

Appam Mavu (Batter)

-2cups

Coconut Milk

-3/4 cup

Regular Milk (hot)

-3/4 cup

Sugar

-1/2 cup

Cardamom Powder

-1/2 tsp

Safforan (optional)

-Few

Method:

      1. Take a bowl mix coconut milk, hot milk, sugar and cardamom powder and keep it aside.

      2. Heat Kulipaniyara pan(Appe Pan) with low heat .

      3. Add 1 tsp of batter in the pan, take out from the stove and spread the batter all over like aappam and put it in the stove on medium flame.

      4. Cover with lid for 1 or 1½ minutes.

      5. Take out from the pan and soak it in the milk mixture,

      6. Decorate with saffron if you want.

Note:

        1. For Aappam Mavu: Idly Rice 2 cups, Raw Rice 2 cups, Urad Dhal ¾ cups, Fenugreek seeds 2 tsp and salt. Soak it grind it and ferment it.

        2. Raw Rice: You can use long grain rice, ponni pacharisi, sona masoori.
