Podalankai Kootu (Snake Gourd)

Ingredients:

Podalangai_Cut

Podalankai(Diced) -2cups
Mung Dhal(3/4 Cooked) -½ cup
Turmeric -pinch
Salt -to taste

 

For Grinding:

Grated Coconut 3tbsp
Cumin -½tsp
Green chili -2
Black pepper -½tsp

 

Seasoning:


Ghee
-1tsp
Mustard -1tsp
Urad Dhal -1tsp
Curry leaves -few

 

Method:

  1. Boil the podalankai with ½ cup of water.
  2. Meantime grind the masala with little water and keep it aside.
  3. After podalankai get soft add salt, turmeric and ground masala.
  4. Boil it for few minutes then add boiled dhal.
  5. Let it cook for few minutes, Then turn off the stove.
  6. Then Season it and serve it.
