Ingredients:
Raw Rice | -1cup |
Raw Mango(Grated) | -½ cup |
Green chili | -3 |
Turmeric | -¼tsp |
Chili Powder | -1tsp |
Salt | -to taste |
Lemon Juice | -1tbsp(optional) |
Seasoning:
Oil | -3 to4tbsp |
Mustard | -1tsp |
Urad Dhal | -2tsp |
Channa Dhal | -2tsp |
Red Chili | -2 |
Curry Leaves | -few |
Asafetida | -¼tsp |
Cashew nuts | -10(optional) |
Method:
- Cook the rice with salt and 2tsp oil in the rice cooker.
- Transfer the rice in the big bowl and spread the rice and let it cool.
- Take a pan heat with oil add seasoning fry without burning.
- Now add green chili sauté for 30 seconds then add turmeric, chili powder.
- Then add grated mango sauté for 5 to 10 minute now add little salt.
- Then mix it with the rice.
- Check the salt and sourness of the rice.
- If Sourness is not enough add lemon juice.
- Serve with any mor kootu or chips and appalam.
Note:
- Increase or decrease the green chili and chili powder.
- You can use basmati rice, sona masoori or ponni raw rice.
- Add lemon juice depending on the sourness of the raw mango.
