Ribbon Pakgoda

 

Serving: 6 to 10 person| Type: Snack

Ingredients:

Besan flour                            1 cup

Rice flour                               1 cup

Pottukadalai  mavu            1cup

Chilli powder                         1 teaspoon

Asafotida powder                 1 teaspoon

Salt                                         to taste

Butter or oil                            2 teaspoon

Oil                                           for frying

Method:

 

  1. Sieve both besan and rice flour and pottukadalai mavu. Put it in a broad vessel.
  2.  Add chilli powder, asafetida, butter and salt and mix by hand. Then add water little by little and make a dough.
  3.  Take small quantity of dough and put it in the Murukku Press with Ribbon Pakgoda plate and squeeze it in circular motion directly to the hot oil.
  4.  Fry till it becomes crispy and nice golden yellow.
  5. But ensure not to brown. Take out from oil and store it in the airtight container.
