Ingredients:
Vazhakkai | -1 |
Salt | -to taste |
Tamarind | -1tsp paste |
Turmeric | -1/4tsp |
Water | -1 cup |
Seasoning:
Oil | -1tsp |
Mustard | -1/2tsp |
Urad Dhal | -1/2tsp |
Red Chili | -1 |
Curry Leaves | -few |
Asafotida | -pinch(optional) |
Method:
- Peel the skin and cut the plantain into cubes.
- Boil the vegetable with water, salt, turmeric and tamarind for about 5 minutes until it get soft.
- Drain the water and keep the vegetable aside.
- Take the pan heat with oil add seasonings and fry it without burning.
- Add the cooked vegetable to it and fry it for about 2 minutes then turn off the stove.
- Serve hot with rice.
Note:
- If you don’t have a tamarind paste, just add about 1 inch piece of tamarind.
