Ingredients:
Raw rice (Long Grain) | -1 cup |
Fenugreek seeds | -1/2 tsp |
Garlic peeled | -4 pods |
Water | -4 cups |
Coconut milk | -11/2 cups |
Salt | -to taste |
Method:
- Wash the rice and add the fenugreek, garlic and water to rice.
- Put the rice into the pressure cooker let 3 to 4 whistle comes then keep it in sim for 10 minutes. Then switch of the stove.
- Let it cool down and open it.
- Then add coconut milk and salt.
- Turn on the stove again, let it boil for 5 minutes and turn it off again.
- Serve hot with any chutney (thovayal).
- It should look semi-solid ( like porridge).
Note:
- You can serve with sugar.
- Coconut thovayal is the best one.
