Rice Stick (Rice Noodles)


Serving: 6 |Type: Tiffin| Pasta/ Pillayar Nombu

 

Ingredients:

Rice Stick -1pocket
Onion -1
Green chili -3
Oil -2tbsp
Mustard -1tbsp
Urad Dhal -2tbsp
Curry Leaves -few
Red Chili -1
Salt -to taste

 

Method:

  1. Boil the water until bubbles up, then rice stick and salt.
  2. Cook for less than five  or until rice sticks get soft.
  3. Then drain the water, immediately rinse with cold tap water (It immediately stops the cooking and helps in separating the rice stick).
  4. Take a pan heat with oil add seasonings fry without burning, then add onion and green chili sauté for minute or two.
  5. Then add cooked rice stick mix it well.
  6. Sauté for 5 to 10 minute for medium flame then turn off the stove.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves.
