Kalkandu Sadam(Rock Sugar Candy Rice)

Ingredients:

Rice -½ cup
Milk -1 ½ cup
Kalkandu -½ cup
Saffron -5 threads
Ghee -4tbsp
Salt -pinch

Method:

  1. Cook the rice with milk in the pressure cooker and keep it aside.
  2. Take out from the pressure cooker and put it in a big pan to cook.
  3. Then add kalkandu and pinch of salt.
  4. Keep it in the stove and cook it until all the kalkandu melts and rice gets thicker.
  5. Then add saffron and ghee.
  6. Now it’s ready to serve.
  7. If you want you can season with dry fruits with ghee.
