Avaraikkai Poriyal (Broad Beans Fry)

Ingredients:

Broad Beans -20
Salt -to taste
Oil -1tsp
Mustard -1/2tsp
Urad Dhal -1/2tsp
Red Chili -1
Curry Leaves -few
Asafotida -pinch (optional)

Method:

  1. Cut the vegetable like 1 inch pieces.
  2. Take the vessel with 1 cup of water, boil the vegetable with salt.
  3. Drain it and keep it aside.
  4. Take the pan heat with oil add seasonings fry it without burning.
  5. Add the boiled vegetable cook it 2 minutes and turn off the stove.
  6. Serve it hot with rice.

Note:

  1. You can boil it in the microwave also.
  2. You can also prepare the avaraikkai by heat some oil and adding all of the seasonings. Then add the avaraikkai raw, fry it. Then add ½ a cup of water and salt to the vegetable to make it soft. While this is cooking cover it with a lid. Revmove from heat once the avaraikkai is soft.
