Mixed Greens with Sorakkai Kottu (Greens with Bottle gourd)

Mixed Greens(Chopped) -2cups
Sorakkai(Diced) -1cup
Pasi Paruppu -¼ cup
Tomato(Diced) -1(small)
Onion(Diced) -1(Small)
Garlic(Diced) -2
Green Chili -2
Chili Powder -1tsp
Turmeric -¼tsp
Salt -to taste



Oil -1tbsp
Mustard -1tsp
Urad Dhal -1tsp
Cumin -1tsp
Red Chili -1



  1. Take a pressure cooker heat with oil, add seasonings fry without burning.
  2. Add onion, green chili and garlic sauté for a minute, then add tomato and turmeric, sauté until tomato get mash.
  3. Then add sorakkai sauté for 4 to 5 minutes and then add greens sauté for a minute.
  4. Now add 1 cup of water,  pasi paruppu and chili powder.
  5. Let 2 to 3 whistles come, then turn off the stove.
  6. Let’s cool down the cooker then open it add salt mix it well cook it for 2 to 3 minutes, then turn off the stove.
  7. Serve with rice or roti.
