Toasted Oats Chutney

Serving:4 |Type: Side Dish – Tiffin


Oats(toasted) ½ cup
Pottu Kadalai ½ cup
Green Chili -2
Red Chili -2
Garlic -1 pod
Ginger -little
Tamarind -little
Coriander leaves -one hand full
Curry Leaves -few
Salt -to taste
Sugar -1tsp



Oil -1tbsp
Mustard -1tsp
Uard Dhal -1tbsp
Red chili, curry leaves -1, few
Asafotida -pinch



  1. Toast the oats for 1 or 2 minutes until aroma comes.
  2. Grind all other ingredients with oats and little water.
  3. Grind coarsely.
  4. Now season it and serve with any tiffin.
