Coconut Pooran Poli

Serving: 12 to 15 pieces | Type: Sweets

Coconut Poran Poli cooked

Ingredients:

Wheat Flour -1 ½ cup
Maida -½ cup
Salt -2pinch
Oil -3tbsp

For Pooran:

Grated Coconut -1 ½ cup to 2
Jaggery -¾ to 1 cup
Salt -pinch
Cardamom Powder -¼ to ½tsp

Method:

Prepare the dough:

  1. Mix everything with water make like chappati dough and keep it aside for 2 to 3 hours.

Prepare the pooran:

  1. Take a pan add the coconut and jaggery.
  2. Add 2tbsp of water mix well and cook it like 4 to 5 minutes.
  3. Then add cardamom powder and mix well.
  4.  This pooran should be not very hard or not very soft.

Prepare the Poli:

  1. Take a dough make balls.
  2. It should be same count dough balls and pooran balls.
  3. Take a dough make like cup and stuff the pooran and close it.
  4. Now roll like thick chappati.
  5. Heat the tawa and cook the poli and spread the ghee on both sides and again cook it’
  6. Until golden spots appears.
  7. Serve hot.
