Green Bell pepper Thovayal (Chutney )

 

Serving: 2  Type: Tiffin-Side Dish

Ingredients:

Red chili -4
Green Bell Pepper(cut) -2 cups
Cumin -1tsp
Coriander seeds -2tbsp
Garlic -1
Coconut -3tbsp
Tamarind -small marble size
Salt -to taste

 

Seasonings:

Oil -1tbsp
Mustard -1tsp
Urad dhal -1tsp
Turmeric -pinch
Curry leaves -few

Method:

 

  1. Take a pan heat with oil add red chili, coriander seeds, cumin, garlic sauté until aroma comes then  take out from the pan.
  2. In the same pan add bell pepper sauté for 3 to 5 minutes and turn off the stove.
  3. Coarsely grind chili, coriander seeds, cumin, garlic with coconut, tamarind and salt with little water then add sauté bell pepper and grind coarsely.
  4. Take a pan heat with oil add seasonings fry without burning then add it into the chutney.
  5. Serve with any tiffin or white rice.
