Kollu Sadam (Horse Gram Rice)

 

Serving: 4 | Type: Veg-Rice

Ingredients:

Kollu -1cup
Thoor Dhal -¼ cup
Urad Dhal -¼ cup
Red Chili -15 to 20
Cumin -1tbsp
Curry leaves -30 to40
Salt -to taste
Cooked Rice -4cups

 

Method:

 

  1. Take a pan heat without oil dry roast all the ingredients without burning.
  2. Let it cool down and grind it in the mixe.
  3. Grind coarsely.
  4. Store it in the air tight container.
  5. Take a room temperature  cooked rice and mix it 6 to 7tbsp of ground powder and 3 to 4tbsp of ghee or sesame oil.
  6. Check the salt and garnish with curry leaves and cashew nuts.
  7. Serve with any Kootu.
