Kondakkadalai Sundal(Black Channa Salad)

Black Channa -1cup
Oil -1tsp
Mustard -1tsp
Urad Dhal -1tsp
Red Chili -2
Curry Powder -1tsp
Asafotida -pinch
Grated Coconut -2tbsp
Salt -to taste
Curry Leaves -few


  1. Soak the Black channa overnight.
  2. Boil the channa and little salt in the pressure cooker for 2whistle and turn off the stove.
  3. Take a pan heat with oil add seasoning fry without burning.
  4. Then add boiled channa, salt and grated coconut and curry powder toss it for a minute and turn off the stove.
  5. Serve it hot.


  1. If you want you can use Kabuli channa.
