Method:

  1. Cut  liver and kidney  into small pieces, wash and keep it aside.
  2. Heat  the frying pan with oil, add all seasonings  fry without burning.
  3. Add onion, green chili and tomato sauté about 1 minute in medium heat.
  4. Take ¾ of the sauté and grind smoothly and keep it aside. (By grinding, kids will not be able to pick out the tomatoes, onion and green chilli and it gives thickness to the soup)
  5. Add the liver and kidney to the ¼ of the sauté that is left over in the pan  and cook for about 1 minute in medium flame. Then add water, salt and turmeric powder.
  6. Now add cooked dhal , coriander leaves and ground paste. Mix it well.
  7. Transfer into the pressure cooker and cook until 2 whistle comes then keep it on low heat about 5 minutes. Now turn off the stove.
  8. Serve it hot.

Note:

  1. You can eat with white rice, idly, dosa or just by itself as soup.
  2. If you want it to be more spicy add pepper powder.

My sister-in-law was in town for the week. I wanted to make something different for them. I found this soup and I made it for her and her husband. Both of them absolutely love it! Thank you very much!

Could you please write how to make egg kuzhambu, please. It is one of my favorites but I can’t seem to make it correctly. Thanks in advance!
