Luvki channa dhal-Soorakkai (bottle Gourd With Bengal gram )

Soorakkai (Diced) -3cups
Cooked channa Dhal -½ cup
Onion(Diced) -1cup
Tomato(Diced) -1cup
Garam Masala -1tsp
Chili Powder -1tsp
Turmeric -¼tsp
Salt -to taste
Coriander Leaves -few
Kasoori methi(Dried Methi) -2tbsp
Lemon Juice -2tsp



Ghee -2tbsp
Cumin -1tsp
Clove -2
Cinnamon -1stick
Bay Leaves -2



  1. Take a pan heat with ghee add seasoning fry without burning.
  2. Add onion sauté for 1 or 2 minute, then add tomato and salt sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Now add soorakkai sauté for 3 minutes , then add chili powder, turmeric , cooked channa dhal and 2 cups of water.
  4. Cook until vegetable get soft, then add garam masala, coriander leaves cook for 1 minute.
  5. Now add kasoori methi and lemon juice mix it and cook for a minute.
  6. Add  1/2 cup milk and mix it well.Then turn off the stove.
  7. Serve with Roti.
