Mangai Urukai (Green Mango Pickle)

Serving: 5 to 8 | Type: Pickle


Raw mango -1
Chili Powder -1tbsp
Salt -to taste
Oil -1tbsp
Mustard -1tsp
Asafotida -¼tsp
Fenugreek Powder -¼tsp



  1. Cut the mango into very small pieces.
  2. Add chili powder and salt mix well.
  3. Take a pan heat with oil add mustard let it crackle .
  4. Then add asafetida and fenugreek powder.
  5. Pour it into the mango and mix it well.
  6. Let it sit at room temperture for 2 to 4 hours.
  7. Serve it with curd rice.


  1. This pickle stays fresh for about 2 to 3 day in the fridge.
