Mutakos Kadalaiparuppu Chutney(Cabbage Bengal gram Chutney)

Cabbage(Cut) -1cup
Onion(cut) -½ cup
Tomato(cut) -1Medium
Curry Leaves -20
Tamarind -Little
Oil -1tbsp
Mustard -1tsp
Urad Dhal -2tsp
Kadalai Paruppu -3tbsp
Red Chili -5 to 10
Asafotida -pinch
Salt -to taste
Coriander Leaves -few



Oil -1tsp
Mustard -1tsp
Urad Dhal -1tsp
Red Chili -1


  1. Take a pan heat with oil add mustard, urad dhal, kadalai paruppu, asafetida, red chili and curry leaves fry without burning.
  2. Then add onion and cabbage sauté for 3 to 5 minutes then add tomato sauté for 2 minutes then turn off the stove.
  3. Let it cool down and grind with tamarind and salt.
  4. Then mix with 2 or 3 cups of water.
  5. Take a pan heat with oil add seasoning fry without burning then add ground paste boil until before frothy comes (Do not boil to much)then garnish with coriander leaves.
  6. Serve with any tiffin.
