Shrimp Biriyani

Serving: 4 |Type: Non Veg-Rice


Basmati Rice -2cups
Shrimp -400grams
Onion(cut) -1cup
Tomato(cut) -1cup
Green Chili -3 to 5
Ginger garlic(paste) -1tbsp
Turmeric -1/4 tsp
Chili Powder -1tsp
Salt -To Taste



Oil And Ghee -4tbsp
Clove -2
Mint Leaves -Hand Full
Coriander Leaves -Hand Full
Cinnamon -2
Bay Leaves -2



  1. Soak the rice for 15 minutes and drain the water.
  2. Take a pan heat with 1tsp ghee add rice sauté for five minutes and keep it aside.
  3. Take heavy bottom vessel heat with oil and ghee
  4. Add seasonings fry without burning, then add onion, green chili sauté for 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Now add ginger, garlic paste sauté with little salt and turmeric.
  6. Then add mint leaves, coriander leaves sauté well.
  7. Now add tomato, chili powder and shrimp sauté for 2 minutes.
  8. Add 4 to 5 cups of water boil it until water bubbles on high flame.
  9. Now add sauté rice mix well and check the salt.
  10. Let it boil then cover with lid and then keep it simmer for 15 minutes.
  11. Then turn off the stove.
  12. Let it sit for 15 minutes the stir the rice.
  13. Serve hot with raitha or any gravy.
