Vendayakkeerai (Methi) Chappati (Roti) (Fenugreek Leaves Tortilla)

Serving: 10 to 12 pieces |Type: Roti

Ingredients:

Wheat Flour -1 ½ cups
Methi Leaves -¾ cup(chopped)
Cumin -½tsp
Chili Powder -1tsp
Turmeric powder -½tsp
Salt -to taste
Oil -2tsp
Water -1 or 1 ¼ cup

Method:

  1. Take a mixing bowl and add all the dry ingridents together and mix it with hand.
  2. Then add water and knead it into a ball.
  3. Cover it with lid and rest it for 2 to 3 hours.
  4. Now make a lemon size balls and roll it into a round shape.
  5. Heat the tawa place the rolled chappati on it and cook both sides with ghee or oil.
  6. Serve it hot with raitha or any gravy.

Note:

  1. Before adding the cumin, place the cumin in your palm and rub with your another palm and add it into the mixture, this will release the aroma from the cumin.
