How to Blanch Almond

Ingredients:

Almond -½ cup
Water -1 ½ cup

 

Ingredients:

  1.  Take the almonds / badam in a microwave safe bowl filled with water.
  2.  Microwave  for one to two minute.
  3. Drain the water.
  4. Hold an almond at one end and apply a little pressure with your fingers and notice the skin slip away easily.
  5. If the skin does not peel immediately it means they are not blanched properly.
  6. Microwave for another  1 minute and repeat the process.
