Podalangai Kootu(Without Dhal) For Chappati Gravy

Ingredients:

Podalangai(diced) -3 cups
Oil -1tsp
Mustard -1tsp
Urad Dhal -1tsp
Red Chili -1
Curry leaves -few
Salt -to taste

 

Grinding:

Grated Coconut -3tbsp
Cumin -1tsp
Red & Green Chili -1 each
Rice flour -1tsp

 

Method:

  1. Take a cooker add podalankai with 1 cup water boil it until 1 or 2 whistle comes.
  2. Turn off the stove, let it cool.
  3. Meantime grind the above ingredients with little water not very smooth or very coarse.
  4.   Open the cooker add salt and ground paste boil it until it gets thicken.
  5. Then turn of the stove.
  6. Take a pan heat with oil add seasoning fry without burning.
  7. Add it into the Kootu and mix it.
  8. Serve with chappati or rice.
