Belgium Waffles

Serving: 10-12 pieces | Type: Breakfast/Tiffin



All-purpose flour 2 cups
Sugar ¾ cup
Baking Powder 3 ½ tsp
Eggs (separated) 2
Milk 1 ½ cups
Butter (melted) 1 cup
Vanilla extract 1 ½ tsp
Salt A pinch



  1. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
  2. Separate the eggs, in one bowl place the egg whites and in another bowl place the egg yolks.
  3. Lightly beat egg yolks and add milk, butter and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Stir the wet mixture into dry the ingredients just until combined.
  5. Then beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  6. Add the beaten egg whites into batter and fold in gently.
  7. Bake in a preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer’s directions until golden brown.
  8. Serve with syrup.
