Fried Fish Kuzhambu(Fish Tangy Gravy)


Serving: 4 | Type: Non Veg-Kuzhambu

Ingredients:

Fish Fillet -1cup
Tomato(Cut) -1cup
Onion(diced) -½ cup
Garlic(diced) -10
Tamarind -lemon size
Chili Powder -1tbsp
Dhania powder -2tbsp
Turmeric -¼tsp
Salt -to taste

 

Seasonings:

Sesame oil -3tbsp
Fenugreek -¼tsp
Red Chili -1
Green chili -2
Curry Leaves -few

 

Method:

  1. Soak the tamarind with  cup of water, squeeze out the pulp and keep it aside.
  2. Take a fish marinate with ½tsp chili powder, pinch turmeric, 1tsp ginger garlic paste,1tbsp corn flour and salt for 1hour.
  3. Take a pan add oil and fry the fish and keep it aside.
  4. Same  pan add seasonings fry without burning.
  5. Add onion and garlic sauté for a minute,  then add tomato, turmeric and salt sauté until tomato get mash.
  6. Then add chili, dhaniya  powder and tamarind mix well.
  7. Add 2 cups of water boil it until raw smell goes.
  8. Then add fried fish cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  9. Then turn off the stove.
  10. Serve with white rice.
