Peerkangai Thakkali Koottu(Ridge gourd with Tomato )

 

Serving: 4 | Type: Veg-Koottu

Ingredients:

Peerkangai(cut) -3cups
Pasi Paruppu -½ cup
Onion(diced) -½ small
Tomato(diced) -1small
Turmeric -¼tsp
Sambar powder -1tbsp
Salt -to taste

Seasoning:

Oil -1tsp
Mustard -1tsp
Urad dhal -1tsp
Curry leaves -few

 

Method:

  1. Take a pressure cooker add pasi paruppu and 2 cups of water let it boil for 3 minutes.
  2. Now add all the ingredients mix well then cover with lid.
  3. Let 1 whistle comes then turn off the stove.
  4. Let it cool down then open it.
  5. Take a pan heat with oil add seasoning fry without burning add it into the koottu.
  6. Let boil it for 1 or 2 minute then turn off the stove.
  7. Serve with rice.
