Kothamalli Pudina Sadam(Coriander Mint Rice)

Raw Rice -1 ½ cup
Coriander Leaves -1cup
Mint Leaves -20
Green chili -4 to 6
Ginger(chopped) -1tbsp
Lemon Juice -2tsp
Salt -to taste



Oil -1tbsp
Mustard -1tsp
Cashew nuts -15
Red Chili -2


  1. Cook the rice with little salt and 1tsp oil.
  2. Spread the rice in a big bowl and let it cool.
  3. Take a pan heat with 1tsp of oil sauté coriander, mint, green chili and ginger for 1 to 2 minute.
  4. Then grind  and keep it aside.
  5. Again take a pan heat with 3tbsp of oil then add ground paste and salt, sauté until it gets thicken like chutney, then turn off the stove.
  6. Then mix it with rice.
  7. Take a pan heat with 1tbsp of oil add seasonings, fry without burning, add it into the mixed rice.
  8. Add 2tbsp of lemon juice.
  9. Now ready to serve.
