Maida Burfi / Cake

Serving: 20 to 25 pieces | Type: Sweet/Deepavali Sweets



Maida -1cup
Sugar -1 ½ cup
Water -½ cup
Ghee -½ cup
Rose Essence -few drops




  1. In the pan heat the ghee and make it hot.
  2. Fry the maida in the hot ghee on low flame until it turns golden color and keep it aside.
  3. Take another pan add sugar and water then boil it.
  4. Boil until one string Consistency (It means if we touch the sugar syrup between thumb and index finger it should form one string).
  5. Now add the maida and mix it well then turn off the stove.
  6. Then keep on stirring until mixture gets thickened like thick idly batter then add rose essence.
  7. Now take a plate and apply ghee then pour the mixture in it.
  8. Make it smoothly with spatula.
  9. Let it cool down and cut it.
  10. Store it air tight container.
