Milagu Aval (Poha)(Black Pepper and Flattened or Beaten Rice)

Aval -1 ½ cup
Pepper -1tbsp
Cumin -1tsp
Curry Leaves -few
Salt -to taste
Ghee -2tbsp
Cashew nuts -10(optional)





  1. Wash the aval and keep it aside.
  2. Grind the pepper and cumin together into coarse powder and keep it aside.
  3. Take a pan heat with ghee add pepper cumin powder, salt and curry leaves sauté for few seconds then add washed aval .
  4. Cook it for 2 or 3 minutes and turn off the stove.
  5. Now ready to serve.
