Ingredients:
Aattukal(cut) | -400grams |
Onion(diced) | -1 ½ cup |
Tomato(diced) | -1 |
Green Chili | -4 |
Ginger Garlic Paste | -1tsp |
Chili Powder | -1tsp |
Turmeric Powder | -¼tsp |
Garam Masala | -1tsp |
Salt | -to taste |
Coriander Leaves | -few |
Seasoning:
Oil | -1tsp |
Sombu | -1tsp |
Cloves | -4 |
Cinnamon | -1 inch |
Bay leaves | -2 |
Red Chili | -1 |
Curry leaves | -few |
Grinding:
Ingredients:
Grated Coconut | -2tbsp |
Sombu | -½tsp |
Cloves | -4 |
Khus khus | -1tsp |
Cashew nut | -10 |
Cumin | -½tsp |
Whole Pepper | -1tsp |
Method:
- Grind all ingredients with water and keep it aside.
- Take the pressure cooker heat with oil add seasonings fry without burning.
- Add onion , green chili, turmeric and pinch salt sauté 1 or 2 minute then add ginger garlic paste fry for 30 second.
- Then add tomato sauté until it get mash.
- Now add aattukal fry for 5 minutes then add chili powder and garam masala mix it well.
- Add 2 cups of water cover the cooker with lid .
- Make 5 whistle comes then keep it simmer for 15 minutes then turn off the stove.
- Let cool down the cooker then open it.
- Add ground masala mix it well.
- Again cover with lid make 3 whistle comes then keep it simmer for 15 minutes then turn off the stove
- Cool down the cooker open it mix it well.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with Rice, Roti.
Note:
- Instead of pressure cooker you can use slow cooker(crock pot).
- This curry go well with jawar roti.
