Pudina Kozhai(mint Chicken)

Chicken -400grams
Onion(chopped) -1cup
Tomato(chopped) -½ cup
Pudina(chopped) -¼  cup
Coriander Leaves -2tbsp
Green Chili -2
Chili Powder -1tsp
Chicken Masala Powder -2tbsp
Turmeric -¼tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste -1tsp
Salt -to taste
Curd(beaten) -2 to 3tbsp



Oil -3tbsp
Sombu -½tsp
Cumin -½tsp
Red Chili -1
Curry Leaves -few
Garlic -2
Cloves, cinnamon -1



  1. Cut and wash the chicken and keep it aside.
  2. Take a heavy bottom  pan heat  oil add seasonings fry without burning.
  3. Add onion and green chili sauté for 1 minute then add ginger garlic paste ,salt and turmeric sauté for 1 minute .
  4. Now add tomato sauté  until tomato get mash then add chicken pieces sauté for 5 minutes then add all masala powders mix it well .
  5. Then add chopped mint leaves sauté for minute now add 2 cups water and cover with lid and cook it until chicken get soft.
  6. Now add beaten curd and coriander leaves cook it for 3 to 5 minutes then turn off the stove.
  7. Serve with rice, pulav, chappati or idly,dosa


  1. This gravy should be thick not very thin .
